For business
Separated guest and staff networks, backup that fails over on its own, and equipment sized for the number of people who really use it — specified per premises rather than out of a catalogue.
Who this is for: Shops, offices, hospitality, schools, clinics and site-based operations. Every premises is different, so we ask about yours before we quote — this page is where you find out what that involves.
What we cover
Most sites need three or four of these, not all six. The price depends on the premises, so ask us for a quote.
The connection into the building, plus the switch and cabling that carry it to desks, tills and access points. For any premises where more than a handful of people depend on one router that was never sized for them.
What else it needs: Needs a survey first: staff numbers, floor plan and where the signal is strongest decide the device, not the price list.
A DC UPS or inverter for the power cuts, and a dual-SIM router holding two operators for the network outages. For businesses where being offline for an hour costs more than the equipment does.
What else it needs: Needs testing deliberately rather than leaving it as an assumption — we can test the failover with you.
Two networks from the same equipment: one for staff and internal systems, one for visitors that cannot reach them. For anywhere the public connects — hotels, restaurants, clinics, waiting areas and receptions.
What else it needs: Needs managed equipment where payment or patient data is involved, so the separation is enforced at the switch by VLAN rather than by a setting.
The network behind the cameras: PoE switching, cable runs, recorder addressing and remote viewing that does not depend on someone leaving a port open. For premises that already have cameras, or are about to.
What else it needs: Needs bandwidth and storage planned together — cameras are the heaviest continuous load most small networks ever carry.
Card terminals, tills and ordering systems put on their own network segment with priority, so a busy dining room full of phones cannot slow a payment down. For retail, hospitality and anywhere a queue forms.
What else it needs: Needs power backup on the same equipment: a till that survives the outage is no use if the router it talks to does not.
Engineers who mount and configure the equipment, and can come back for checks, firmware, alignment and configuration changes as the business moves things around — agreed with you when we quote.
What else it needs: Needs a named contact on your side and a record of what was installed, so a fault is diagnosed from facts rather than from first principles.
Before the quote
A business outage is rarely a mystery. It is almost always one of these, and each one has a known fix with a known cost.
Card terminals and till systems share a network with customer Wi-Fi, so a busy afternoon slows payments to a crawl.
A single router is expected to cover a whole floor, and staff at the far end work over a connection that barely holds.
When the primary connection fails, someone has to notice, find a MiFi and reconnect devices by hand — which is downtime, not continuity.
Guest Wi-Fi has the same password as the office network, so every visitor who has ever connected can still reach internal systems.
Nobody owns the network, so nothing is documented and every fault becomes an investigation from first principles.
None of these are solved by a larger data bundle. They are solved by separating the networks, sizing the equipment to the number of people using it and putting a second layer underneath the first — which is what a survey is for.
Packages by premises type
A shop, a clinic and a construction site have almost nothing in common except needing to stay online. Find the row closest to your premises, then ask us for a quote — the price depends on the building and what you already have.
Single-floor shop with a till, card terminal and staff phones
10 to 40 staff on one or two floors
Dining room plus terrace, customer Wi-Fi and an ordering system
Guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house on one managed network
Classrooms, staff room and administration block
Consulting rooms, records and a waiting area, where downtime is not acceptable
Large open spans, high racking and a yard needing coverage
Temporary site offices and cabins with no fixed services
Conferences, exhibitions and pop-ups needing connectivity for a few days
Mining, agriculture and field bases with no usable mobile service
These are starting points for a conversation, not fixed kits. What a site needs depends on the building and on what you already own, so we price it for your premises.
How a business engagement runs
No business site is specified from a catalogue. We agree what each stage includes when we quote.
An engineer looks at the premises with you: where the signal is, how many devices connect, and what cabling and power are already there.
The device list, cable routes and power sizing, agreed with you before anything is bought.
Priced for your site against that design, and talked through with you before you commit.
Scheduled around trading hours and phased to keep the premises online as far as the work allows.
Passwords, what was installed, and anything else agreed in the quotation.
Agreed per business and set out in the quotation.

A quotation needs a little more than a device name. The six points on the right are what an engineer would ask on the phone anyway — include what you know and we will ask about the rest.
